Terms of Service

Welcome to MC Drywall & Taping Corp (“we,” “us,” “our”). By using our website or services, you agree to these Terms of Service.

1. Scope of Services

​

We provide professional drywall installation, repair, and finishing services for residential and commercial properties.

​

2. Contract Formation

​

A contract is formed when:

  1. You request a quote or estimate.

  2. We provide a written proposal including scope, timeline, and price.

  3. You accept the proposal in writing (email or signed copy).
    All changes must be approved in writing by both parties.

3. Pricing & Payment

​

  • Prices are based on labor, materials, and site conditions.

  • Payment terms will be detailed in your proposal.

  • Accepted methods: credit card, check, bank transfer, or via Wix, PayPal, or Square.

  • Final payment is due upon completion (unless otherwise noted). Late payments incur a 1.5% monthly interest.

4. Customer Responsibilities

​

You agree to:

  • Provide safe site access and necessary utilities (power, water, lighting, waste disposal).

  • Permit prompt inspections, permits, and access for subcontractors.

  • Ensure the job site complies with building regulations and safety laws.

5. Licensing & Compliance

​

  • Our CSLB license (No. 1129091) is displayed on all bids, contracts, and permits.

  • We comply with California Business & Professions Code §â€¯7000 + and Civil Code §â€¯337.

  • We maintain compliance with Title 24 and other permitting laws.

6. Warranties & Guarantees

​

  • We provide a 10-year warranty on major structural defects and a 4-year warranty on significant non-structural defects, in accordance with California CSLB and Civil Code §â€¯895–945.5.

  • Warranties exclude damage from misuse, neglect, alterations, or unauthorized repairs.

7. Permits & Inspections

​

If required, you are responsible for permit fees; we will prepare necessary documentation.
We coordinate inspections with building officials.

​

8. Liability & Insurance

​

  • We maintain liability insurance covering work sites and damage.

  • Liability is limited to the amount paid for our services.

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or punitive damages.

9. Privacy & Data Handling

​

Your data is collected and processed under our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which are available on our site.
By using our services, you agree to those terms.

10. Job Site Conduct

​

  • The use of tobacco, alcohol, or unauthorized visitors is prohibited in active work areas.

  • You may request proof of workers’ compensation insurance for onsite personnel.

​

11. Force Majeure

​

We are not liable for delays caused by events beyond our control (e.g., natural disasters, supply chain issues, strikes, COVID‑19 restrictions).

​

12. Cancellation & Termination

​

  • 3‑day Right to Cancel:** You may cancel a home improvement contract within 3 business days of signing. If you are 65 or older, you have 5 business days. Disaster-related contracts have a 7-day window. Emergency repairs under $750 do not have a cancellation period. Cancellation rights are outlined under CA B&P §â€¯7159 and Civil Code §â€¯1689.

  •  Cancellation Before Work Begins:** If you cancel after signing but *before* work starts, a cancellation fee of **$150 or 10% of the contract price (whichever is less)** may be charged. This covers administrative and planning costs.

  • Cancellation After Work Begins:** If the contract is cancelled after work has begun, a **pro-rated fee** will be applied based on the portion of work completed.

  • We may cancel the contract with notice if payment is not received or site access is denied.

13. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

​

  • Any disputes will initially be addressed through informal resolution.

  • Remaining disputes shall be governed by California law.

  • Resolution via mediation, then binding arbitration under the American Arbitration Association (AAA).

  • CSLB arbitration (under §§â€¯7150–7159 of the Business & Professions Code) is available for construction-related claims under $16,000.

14. Entire Agreement

​

These terms and your signed quote/contract represent the full agreement between us.
Any prior agreements are superseded.

​
